Product Design & Manufacturing Collection Skills Challenge

lukemihelcic • Sep 19, 2017

Do you have a quick tip using one of the products in the Product Design and Manufacturing Collection (PDMC)? Cut a 60-second tip video for a chance to win $500!

It’s time for all those tricks you’ve learned over the years to pay off! Take what you’ve learned using one (or more) of the Product Design and Manufacturing Collection products, boil it down into a 60-second tip, and you could win $500. Sound too good to be true? Here’s how to get started.

It just takes 3 easy steps…

  1. Download the latest version of the Autodesk product you want to use. Already have it installed? Step 1 is done!
  2. Record the best tip ( try to keep it around 60 seconds) that sets you apart from the rest, using any of the PDMC products. Need something to record your screen? Download Autodesk Screencast for free.
  3. Submit your video, or a link to it, in a reply to the social post you saw announcing this contest by October 11th, and include #MyPDMCTip in the description.

Need a few more details? Here are some FAQs:

Q: Could you give me an example of what you are looking for?
A: Absolutely! Take a look at this quick tip by Inventor Luke. Classic!

Q:
I don’t have the latest version of the product that I want to use. Is that OK?
A: Sure. It would be great if you download the latest version here , but if you have an earlier version, that will be alright too.

Q:
What’s in it for me, again?
A: The endless respect of the Autodesk community, placing you on a pedestal above all others with your design and manufacturing skills. Oh, and this sweet prize breakdown:

1 st place – $500
2 nd place – $300
3 rd place – $200
4 th – 10 th place – $100

Q: I want to share a tip, but it doesn’t use any of the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection products. Will that work?
A: You can certainly submit the tip, but you won’t be eligible to win. Maybe next time!

Q: How do I submit my winning video?
A: Just reply to the social media post where you found this contest, including either your video or a link to your video. That’s it.

Q:
How will I know when I win?
A: After all the submissions are judged by an esteemed panel of experts, you will be contacted via social media announcing your victory. Either that, or just keep checking back here for a new blog post showing off each of the winning tips.

Q:
I’m a wealth of knowledge. May I submit more than one tip video?
A: Of course, you can. The more tips that you give us, the greater your chances to win!

Q:
I’m also really good at what I do. Can I win more than one prize?
A: Yes! If you’re that good, we’ll load you up with winnings.

Now, what are you waiting for? Your place in history and nearly endless riches are just one quick tip video away. Good luck!
