Price Calculation:

Wondering how pricing is calculated to determine the cost of an item.

This  is  the general formulae that most FDM systems use.

Cost = (Length of time to print X Electricity consumption kWh) divided by (amount of material required X Cost of material per meter)

What is infill % and why does it matter?

Most 3D Prints will function well with 20% infill. This  is  the amount of material used to fill the core of the product.  3D printed plastic items are not solid plastic and have a honey comb inner. The more infill  that  you add the more solid  the item becomes.

20% infill means that only 20% of the inner core of your item  has material.

If you need  the product to be strong then increase the infill to 40 , 50 , 60 or 100%

But  the higher  the infill % the  greater  the cost as more material will be required.

All  Resin and Metal parts are 100% infill, so  you would not  need  to change the % when ordering that  material.
